Validating your formulas' chemical composition
Built-in validation tool
COSMETIC Factory enables your to create and to validate your composition according to regulatory requirements imposed by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, but also to check if your formulation can be placed on other markets.
COSMETIC Factory monitors regulatory restrictions as described in the Annexes to the Regulation in real-time. If your products are concerned by a change, you automatically receive alerts as soon as the regulation is updated.
You can edit your formulation and see the raw materials and ingredients that it comprises, shown in descending order by weight.
Allergens requiring labeling in your composition are automatically detected and calculated.
We have combined toxicological expertise and knowledge of the cosmetic industry's needs to integrate into our software a database of over 3000 ingredients commonly used in cosmetic products.
Margins of Security
Thanks to a smart calculation engine that integrates our scientific databases, calculating the Margins of Security (MoS) is now automatic; the NOAEL can be set by you or, if need be, by our experts.
To each ingredient belongs a toxicological profile for all the relevant endpoints. There can be one or more studies for a given endpoint, and the user gets to choose which to incorporate in the Product Information File.
Regulatory management of raw materials
A dedicated interface
Thanks to a specific interface for raw materials, you can easily and quickly make a snaposhot of the main properties and potentially found impurities. COSMETIC Factory alerts you on any lack of necessary information anytime you upload new raw material data.
According to the nature of each raw material, it is possible to calculate their maximum percentage allowed using the "MoS simulator" tool.
COSMETIC Factory specifies which type of document it expects according to the nature of the raw material used.
Management of documents
Structured storage system
COSMETIC Factory handles the storage of documents and all the necessary alerts anytime the relevant regulation changes and an update needs to be made. Any change on a an ingredient or a raw material can be tracked and monitoredand also appears in the information of every finished product that contains it.
You can assign a validity date to every document you upload on the platform. It will also trigger update alerts directly in your email inbox.
Your data is safe
Documents are stored in a dedicated and encrypted cloud owned by EcoMundo: you can access your data anytime and from anywhere, and no one else can.
Thanks to a configurable collection of standard expressions and to a summary of all the calculated Margins of Security for each of the finished product's ingredients, filling in your Product Information File is only a matter of seconds!
Customised printing options
You can export your PIF to a large number of commonly used format : Word, PDF, etc. You can also upload your own PIF template, with your logo and your company information.
COSMETIC Factory's regulatory alerts feature enables you to sustainably manage your PIF's updates (formulation change, regulatory restriction, supplier change, etc.)
Guidelines for labels
COSMETIC Factory also acts as an interface between your regulatory and marketing departments, with a innovative tool to generate recommandations for drafting your products' labels.
From the data you feed it, COSMETIC Factory issues a briefing document on creating a compliant label, avoiding unnecessary back and forth between the marketing and regulatory departments.
"Label-ready" regulatory data
COSMETIC Factory automatically generates the relevant regulatory data for labels, on the basis of the information submitted beforehand (ingredients list, the finished product's main claims, etc.)
For specific sectors of the cosmetic industry (sunscreen products, aerosols, etc.), additional recommandation are also included.
COSMETIC Factory also handles (mandatory) translations according to geographical regions.
