What are precautionary statements?


According to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 a.k.a "CLP", a precautionary statement, or "P statement" is:

a phrase that describes recommended measure(s) to minimise or prevent adverse effects resulting from exposure to a hazardous substance or mixture due to its use or disposal.

Here is a list of all the P statements, as described in the CLP Regulation, categorised.


General precautionary statements
