In Brazil, cosmetic products are subject to registration requirements which vary in complexity, depending on the product class. You also need a local partner with the required authorisations. EcoMundo will accompany you throughout every step and represent you locally.
Step 1: Strategic advice
During this preliminary study phase, EcoMundo defines the classification of your cosmetic products – according to the formulas, claims and your market position – and determines the level of registration necessary: “Cadastre” or “Registre”.
2. Local importer
Step 2: Local importer service
EcoMundo offers to register your products on your behalf and therefore to become your importer. In this way, we act as a trusted third-party and as an entity disassociated from your distributor. You maintain long-term independence in your distribution system. To carry out their function, the importer must:
- have premises that are certified to standards
- have a health officer based in Brazil
- hold national AFE (“Aviso de Funcionamento do Estabelecimento”) authorisation issued by Anvisa
Step 3: Product registration
EcoMundo handles all the steps in the local registration process. This registration can take various forms depending on the cosmetic product class and the type of registration required: “Cadastre” or “Registre”.
