The seminar: successfully exporting cosmetics to Europe
EcoMundo was in Brazil, São Paulo, to present the keys of exporting cosmetics to Europe to its Brazilian partners. There, EcoMundo’s president, Pierre Garçon, as well as the commercial cosmetic director, Sylvain de Backer, had the opportunity to exchange and share EcoMundo’s expertise with Brazilian cosmetic professionals.
Major players of the cosmetic industry were present, but there were mostly representatives of the main cosmetic clusters such as ABIHPEC, ABC or Diadema.
Attendees had the opportunity to discover, in particular:
- The steps preceding the marketing of a cosmetic product
- The role of responsible person
- The product information file
- The cosmetic product safety report
EcoMundo’s services and software for companies wishing to benefit from regulatory guidance in their European export project were also presented.
An audience eager for information
The subject of exporting cosmetics to Europe is crucial for international companies wanting to expand. Regulatory compliance is the basis for any project to commercialise in new countries, especially in the European Union and for cosmetics, where the regulations are particularly strict.
After the seminar, questions were asked mainly on claims, especially “Not tested on animals” and “Paraben free” claims. Our expert also answered questions on packaging languages and what information should be translated.
