Securing the use of substances subject to Authorisation


  • To produce a Chemical Safety Report with the description of the process, the exposure assessment and the levels of risk associated with the use of the substance
  • To analyse the alternatives to demonstrate the unfeasibility of a substitution of the substance and to describe alternative solutions
  • To analyse the cost/benefit associated to the continued use or not of the substance


  • Defining the scope of the Authorisation application relating to a specific use of the substance: the expected functional properties, the required level of performance, the substitution potential
  • Describing the activiting to give the committee experts a comprehensive viewpoint on operational conditions, collective risk management measures, Individual risk management measures
  • Assessing the impacts of the “non-use” scenario particularly on loss of revenues and profits, impacts on foreign armed forces and on on NEXTER’s industrial partners
