January 2019 deadline
Since 1st January, all products classified “dangerous because of their effect on health” have to be declared on the Synapse portal. This portal is jointly administered by Poison and Toxicovigilance Centres and by the INRS(reference body for occupational risk prevention in France).
Hitherto, the Synapse Declaration only affected very specific danger categories. The 1st of January extension implies new steps for companies : starting now, the identification, uses, characteristics, components, etc., of each concerned product will have to be filled out on Synapse. It should be noted that starting 1st January 2022, in addition to the obligations above, all mixtures labelled as dangerous because of their physical dangers will be concerned by this declaration.
EcoMundo facilitates the whole process and handles the Synapse Declaration of all your products.
As of now, the Synapse Declaration only concerns the following classes of danger:
- since 1st April 2014 : H300, H301, H310, H311, H330, H331 ; H370, H372, H350, H340, H360, H314
- since 1st January 2017 : H334, H317, H351, H341, H361
- since 1st January 2019 : H302, H312, H332, H315, H319, H335, H336, H371, H373, H304, H318, H362
The rest of the European Union
A European tool is being developed in order to harmonise the declarations between Member States. In the meantime, the procedures vary a great deal depending on the country in which you wish to expand your activities. Some countries require more information than that contained in the SDS, others request for example signing in to a completely separate platform.
EcoMundo provides you with a unique expertise in all these proceedings. We are able to assist you with your Declarations in the European territory as a whole, thereby facilitating your administrative procedures.
