The new regulation 2015/1221 changes the CLP regulation 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures. This modification called "ATP" causes the update of Annex VI of the CLP Regulation.

The Official Journal of the European Union announced on July 25, 2015 that the Regulation 2015/1221 will modify the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
This update known as ATP (adaptation to scientific and technical progress), relates to the classification, packaging and labelling for substances as well as mixtures.
It entails the modification of 12 inputs and the addition of 20 new entries in Annex VI of the CLP Regulation .

Lastly, the harmonised classifications added to the Annex of regulation 2015/1221 will be adopted starting from January 1, 2017 but remains nevertheless applicable from now.
