ECHA has updated the SVHC Candidate List, which indexes Substances of Very High Concern. The list now contains 197 substances, including those added on January 15th.

The SVHC Candidate List is updated every 6 months. Two days ago, 6 new substances were added to the list, increasing the number of substances to 197.

Context

As a reminder, the Candidate List is a list indexing substances which may have serious consequences on human health or the environment. These substances are “candidate” to a potential integration to Annex XIV and subsequently might require an authorisation. A substance included to the Candidate List may already be synonym oflegal obligations for companies.
