Cosmetic labels & certifications

Cosmetic certification is definitely an asset to sell your cosmetic products. It allows consumers to make a conscious choice, and helps the brand to put under the spotlight the way they create their products. EcoMundo provides a little guide with the most popular certification bodies.

How do I certify my cosmetic products?

Certification is the best way to communicate with a simple logo. Nevertheless, a symbol is a claim and all claims must be substantiated as per Regulations 1223/2009 and 655/2013. You cannot place a certification symbol on your product without getting the real certification from the concerned body. To find out more about a certification, click on the name and visit their website.

You'll find above a non-exhaustive list of certification. However, you'll find below the most common logos / symbols and certification organisms.

    Hi Yasemin,

    Thank you for your comment.

As a matter of fact, yes, the INCI and CAS numbers are mendatory. Please provide this information to the brands in order to help them register.

    Best,

    Magali

    Hello Maliheh!

First of all, thank you for your comment!

Regarding your questions, EcoMundo can help you in the compliance process of your cosmetic products but we do not offer any ISO certifications and, therefore, no guidance for ISO 22716 - which refers to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for cosmetic products.

    Best regards,

    Magali
