May 2012 - EcoMundo at the in-cosmetics fair in Barcelona |
From 17 to 19 April 2012, EcoMundo was at In-Cosmetics tradeshow on the In Focus platform dedicated to solar beauty. In-Cosmetics allows worldwide cosmetics manufacturers to meet more than 500 ingredients suppliers who present the latest trends and innovations on active substances, natural extracts and technologies usable in cosmetics.
Therefore, EcoMundo developed two interactive platforms for the general public :
- A touch screen world map showing international initiatives regarding nanomaterials safety ),
- An animation introducing the guests to the daily use of nanomaterials through examples.
During this tradeshow we were also interviewed and participated in a round table. We have thus introduced important concepts for the sustainable development of nanomaterials.
October 2011 - Guidance wanted for assessing nano in cosmetics |
The European Commission Health and Consumers Directorate-General requested guidance from the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) on the nanomaterials safety assessment in cosmetics.

The final reports of the REACH Implementation Projects on Nanomaterials have been published by the European Commission. They were submitted to ECHA for validation.
