CREER stands for Cluster Research: Excellence in Ecodesign & Recycling. The CREER cluster is a multisectoral club of industrial companies, which aims at furthering non-competitive research in sustainable development, mainly in ecodesign and recycling.
Over 40 companies, one knowledge cluster and six research centres are members of CREER. Areva, Renault, Steelcase, Seb and Veolia Environnement are among them.
EcoMundo participates in the CREER’s board of directors.

CREER goals and projects |
CREER projects revolve around three main axes:
- REACH and the management of substances before authorisation
- Recycling, with the creation of an "observatory of recycling issues"
- Reflecting on the existing Life Cycle Analysis methods
Acting as a Think Tank, CREER’s objective is to:
- Share the results of industrial research through the implementation of collaborative projects
- Work on an international level, always looking for cooperation with similar organisations abroad
- Increase ecodesign knowledge and awareness, especially on a SME level
- Gather resources in a centre enabling collaboration between the industry and the scientific community
- Monitor change in the fields of technology and regulation, to gather documentation and lead discussions
- Provide a scientific ground to build a better dialogue between industries, public education and/or research institutions, State-funded services and local authorities
